Thanksgiving starts early for needy

Charlotte Rescue Mission kicked off Thanksgiving week by passing out 150 holiday food boxes to families in the West Boulevard corridor. Each box contained a frozen turkey, canned sides and an aluminum roasting pan. “A traditional Thanksgiving meal may be out of the question, when you are struggling to make ends meet,” said Tony Marciano, Executive Director of the Rescue Mission. “We want to spread hope to even more of our neighbors.” The mission also offers a prepared meal to the community on Thanksgiving Day.
