The city of Morganton’s Water Resources Department is expected to temporarily shut off water Wednesday on Catawba Street in Glen Alpine.
The water shutoff will begin at 9 a.m. and service should be restored by 4 p.m.
The city needs to install a valve and replace a fire hydrant on the water line on Catawba Street, said Ronnie Suttles, collections and distribution supervisor in the Water Resources Department.
Customers on Catawba Street from the post office to the intersection of Turkey Tail Lane and Watermill Glen Alpine Road will be affected, including side streets and residents of the River Glen subdivision.
