Charlotte firefighters: No injuries after fire at west Charlotte home

Charlotte firefighters say no injuries were reported early Tuesday from a fire at a home in west Charlotte. The fire caused part of the back of the single-story home to collapse, WBTV, a media partner of the Observer, reported. The fire was reported shortly after 6 a.m. at the home in the 200 block of Jones Street. It took firefighters 18 minutes to bring the fire under control, a fire spokesman said.
