All of Charlotte’s Chipotle locations are out of pork Wednesday as the restaurant chain deals with a companywide shortage.
Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. stopped serving its carnitas topping at a third of its stores across the country after discovering that a supplier violated its standards, the Associated Press reported.
Most of the concerns dealt with how pigs were housed.
All six of Charlotte’s Chipotle restaurants were out of pork at lunchtime Wednesday. Locations in Matthews and Huntersville were also not serving pork.
