Another warm, sunshine-filled day is in store for the Charlotte region on Wednesday before the weather cools Thursday and the chance of rain arrives.
Tuesday’s high reached a spring-like 68 degrees, a stunning 18 degrees warmer than normal for January. Wednesday’s high could reach 62 under likewise sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.
Thursday will turn partly sunny as the high cools to 53.
The temperature will fall even further on Friday, with a high of only 47 degrees forecast. The chance of rain stands at 40 percent Friday.

Precipitation is expected to leave the area by Saturday, which should be mostly sunny with a high of 50.
After Tuesday night’s low of about 42, lows for the rest of the week will stay in the mid-30s.
