Man rescued from burning Concord home early Monday

One man was rescued from a burning home in Concord early Monday, according to the Observer’s news partner WBTV.

The Concord Fire Department says firefighters were called just before 3 a.m. to a burning home in the 600 block of Abington Drive NE. Fire fighters conducted of the home and found the unresponsive man. A woman inside was not injured. The identity of the man was not yet given.

EMS took the man to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast and firefighters believe he was not seriously injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
