SouthPark restaurant cites parking shortage as reason for move

Chuy’s SouthPark restaurant closed Sunday, citing the limited parking there for its customers, and says it plans to reopen in early November at a location in the Waverly area.

In a note posted on its Web site, the Tex-Mex restaurant at 4301 Sharon Road also cited parking garage construction at SouthPark as a problem for its clientele.

The new location will be at 11627 Waverly Center Drive, near the intersection of Providence and Ardrey Kell roads, the statement said. The restaurant is part of a chain that has locations throughout the southeastern United States.

“Due to limited parking...we feel we can deliver the best customer experience by relocating,” said a statement from restaurant General Manager Scott Evans.
