No students were injured in two school bus wrecks in Charlotte on Tuesday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokesman Brian Hacker said.
Medic took the driver of a minivan to the hospital after the vehicle collided on Archdale Drive with Bus 695, which was carrying 12 students to Waddell Language Academy. The driver had potentially life-threatening injuries, Medic reported. The wreck happened about 7:45 a.m.
The other wreck involved Bus 615, which was carrying one student. The wreck happened about 7:15 a.m. on Clanton Road at Barringer Drive. The bus was headed to Coulwood Middle School, Hacker said.
An SUV was pulling out of a gas station when it hit the passenger side tire of the bus, WBTV, the Observer’s news partner, reported. The driver of the SUV will not be cited, WBTV reported police saying.
