Salisbury police have charged a second man in connection with a May home invasion that led to a Salisbury mother of four being killed.
Daniel Real Albarran, 31, of Leonard Road in Salisbury, was charged with murder and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond, officials said. His first court appearance will be Friday.
He is charged with participating in the murder of Lacynda Feimster on May 24. She was discovered when Salisbury Police were called to 325 Crown Point Dr, in reference a home invasion with someone shot. Officers found Feimster, 38, dead inside the apartment. She had reportedly celebrated one of her four children's birthdays earlier that day.
Sinday Lina Abbitt was charged with murder last month in connection with the same case.
A second victim at the apartment was struck in the face with a weapon, police said. That victim was transported to Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center, treated and released, police said.
