A body found in Cabarrus County last week has been identified as that of a former Showmars worker who went missing with two coworkers, police said Monday.

The Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office say the remains are those of Truc Quan Ly Le, 23, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

Police searched for days for Le, who was called “Sandy,” before finding her body in a wooded area.

Warrants were issued for coworkers Alexandro “Alex” Castillo, 17, and Ahmia Feaster, 19, charging them with possession of a stolen vehicle. Castillo and Feaster are believed to have crossed into Mexico, investigators said last week.

Le’s stolen 2003 Toyota Corolla was recovered in Phoenix. Le, last seen Aug. 9, withdrew $1,000 from her bank about the time she disappeared.

A car belonging to Feaster, who was supposed to start at Central Piedmont Community College next week, was found on Dulin Creek Boulevard on Saturday.

CMPD said it will release further information as it is developed.
