Disturbance call leads to meth lab discovery in Matthews home

An Aug. 20 disturbance call to a home in Matthews resulted in a man being charged with operating a meth lab, say Matthews police.

Officers said they responded to the call about 3:30 p.m. Saturday and found supplies and chemicals inside that are consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Erik Christopher Walsh, 45, of 11318 Cresendo Court, was arrested and charged with crimes including manufacturing methamphetamine, maintain a vehicle / dwelling for sale of a controlled substance, possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
