For the seventh year in a row, Luquire George Andrews (LGA) will hold its Goodstock program, a 24-hour public relations and marketing training session to help cash-strapped charities better connect with supporters in the community.
The free event runs Oct. 6-7 and is open to charities that submit proposals for review to LGA in Charlotte.
“Over the past seven years, LGA has donated $1.5 million in advertising, public relations, social media, digital and creative services during Goodstock – all at no cost to 34 amazing nonprofits in need,” said Judi Wax, LGA executive vice president, director of public relations.
“We do it because we believe in giving back to our community, and we know that many nonprofits aren’t able to fund what we have to offer because of budget cuts, reductions in donations or a measurable increase in demand for their services.”
During Goodstock, LGA staff will work 24 hours straight to benefit a group of Mecklenburg County nonprofits selected from those who respond to an RFP available at www.lgaadv.com/goodstock.
Proposals from charity leaders are evaluated on the organization’s 501(c)(3) status, services the organization provides in Mecklenburg County, the organization’s most pressing marketing needs, and LGA’s ability to address them in 24 hours. The deadline to apply is 5:30 p.m. Sept. 6.
