The Concord Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the robbery of a CVS pharmacy earlier this week on Union Street South in Concord.
Michael Riley Phillips, 24, surrendered to Concord Police and is currently in the custody of the Cabarrus County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond. He was served warrants for arrest for one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of trafficking opium or heroin.
The robbery occurred Monday, Aug. 22, when a man entered the store at 1260 Union Street South and threatening to use a firearm if not given prescription medications from the pharmacy. After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene on foot, police said.
