My best friend's birthday

I wish my best friend a deliriously happy birthday on June 1. I have known him since we were in our early 20s. We met dancing in front of Cinderella's Castle at Disney World with Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh as kids of the kingdom.

When I told him I would never marry an actor, he went back to school and earned his MBA, abandoning his dream of being a rock star. He followed me to Chicago as I finished school, then to New York when I pursued a career as an actor.

He has traveled halfway around the world to meet my family and eaten Filipino dishes that I would never try. Now, 25 years later, I hope he knows that to our son and me, he is a rock star. Happy Birthday to my husband, Craig.
