G&S Contracting owner George Sumrow is celebrating the home-remodeling firm's 30th year.
The Mooresville native started G&S as a one-man operation, selling and installing every job himself. Soon he was running several crews and opened a showroom in Mooresville.
G&S has won three national awards over the years and maintained an A-plus rating from the Better Business Bureau. The firm has had at least 10,000 customers.
The "S" in the company's name refers to Sumrow's wife, Sally, a retired Mooresville schoolteacher.
