As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mount Pleasant High will hold its third annual "King of the Court" tournament to raise money to fight breast cancer.
Instead of holding a powder-puff football game, male student-athletes will compete on the volleyball court, wearing pink, to support the cause.
Almost 70 students - in 10 teams - will compete this year. Each group pays $80 to participate. Teams work out at least twice with volleyball team players to get ready for the event.
The tournament will start at 6 p.m. today, Oct. 13, at Mount Pleasant's gym. The public is invited and asked to make a $3 donation at the door. All Proceeds go to Carolina Medical Center-NorthEast's Breast Health Center in Concord.
