Sales savvy: Dianne Eckert is the first woman named Charlotte Motor Speedway's Salesperson of the Year. The Concord resident began in the ticket office and moved to corporate sales. She will attend the 2010 NASCAR championship banquet in Las Vegas with her husband, Timothy.

Help fill a stocking: The Empty Stocking Fund, a joint effort between Cooperative Christian Ministries and the Cannon Memorial YMCA, provides gifts to kids and teens, and provides families assistance for heating costs. Speedway traffic: Throughout the run of Carolina Christmas, commuters can expect increased traffic near Charlotte Motor Speedway. Visitors should use U.S. 29 to get to the speedway. From I-85, visitors are encouraged to use exit 48 to I-485, or exit 52 to Poplar Tent Road, then take U.S. 29 to the speedway.
