Studio quilt artist Dottie Moore of Rock Hill, S.C., will speak to the Mooresville Centerpiece Quilters' Guild at 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at the South Iredell Senior Center, 202 N. Church St. in Mooresville.

NASCAR legend Bobby Allison will be the special guest at Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County's 2011 Charity BBQ from 6 to 10 p.m. Jan. 22 at Performance Instruction & Training Institute, 158 Byers Creek Road in Mooresville.

The Mooresville Artist Guild will feature artist Diane Pike in Gallery 2 and "Women Paint Women" in galleries 1 and 3 Tuesday through Jan. 29 at the Depot Art Gallery, corner of Center Avenue and Main Street in downtown Mooresville.

Artwork by guild volunteers will be featured in the gallery's warehouse.
