Central Cabarrus High School

Proctors needed: Central Cabarrus still needs proctors for exams. If you are interested in helping, contact the school's testing coordinator at 704-786-0125. Exams will be given Jan. 18-24. Proctors are responsible for assisting in state end-of-course exams by distributing and collecting test materials and monitoring students during the exam.

Hickory Ridge High School

Team member of the month: Hickory Ridge has named Lacey Huffling as team member of the month based on the school's set of core values.

Jay M. Robinson

International game hour: Join the multicultural club for international game hour 3-5 p.m. Jan. 27 in the cafeteria. The informal gathering is for any Jay M. Robinson students, faculty or staff member interesting in connecting with those from other cultures over refreshments, music and games. $3; members eat free.

First Assembly Christian School

Open house: First Assembly will hold an open house Jan.31.

Student-faculty basketball game: The annual Cox Mill Faculty vs. Students basketball game will be held Jan. 20 during fourth block. The rosters will be selected by random draw from all that sign-up. You won't want to miss this event as the teachers run their record to a perfect 2-0 in this intense rivalry.

Financial aid night: 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24. Tamika Ruffin from College Foundation of North Carolina will present.

Driver's Education: A second driver's education class has been added for Jan. 24. Participants will receive a letter in the mail from the Cabarrus County School Board office.
