The Choral Academy, Concord

Auditions: The Choral Academy is scheduling auditions/vocal placement interviews for children and youth ages 7-20 to participate in three age-based choirs. No preparation is necessary. Anti-bullying concert: An anti-bullying concert will be held at St Alban's in Davidson 1 p.m. Jan. 23. The event is sponsored by The Foundation for Respect Ability, a newly formed organization founded by Arlene Berkman of Cornelius. The event and the foundation's mission are modeled after Operation Respect, a world renowned organization spearheaded by Peter Yarrow of the legendary folk group, Peter, Paul and Mary. The Foundation for Respect Ability intends to offer events and services to address the concerns of parents, educators and students regarding bullying in every form. Guest Speaker: Bobby Richardson, former Yankees baseball player (1955-66) and MVP in the 1960 World Series will speak during Mt. Zion's 11 a.m. worship service Jan 23.
