Cabarrus County boys and Girls Club
Field lease: The Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County now has an 88-year lease on the Windstream field on Buffalo Avenue. The Club will lease the company-owned field for $1 each year. The club will be responsible for maintaining the field and will have the right to build bleachers and goals.

Habitat for Humanity
Mortgage burning: Habitat Cabarrus' first two homeowners, Angela Grier and Mary Ann Meritt Wilson, celebrated satisfying their home mortgage with a mortgage-burning party at Concord's Fire Station 1.
