Hours: Wine tastings are held 10a.m.-6p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 2-6p.m. Sunday. Winery tours are 10:30a.m. and 4p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 11a.m. and 2p.m. Saturday; and 2:30p.m. Sunday.

Activities: Guests to Adams Vineyards will have the opportunity to experience the history of the vineyard that has been in the Adams family since the 1700s. Visitors can purchase wine tastings and sample all 12 of the establishment's wines, as well as keep a wine glass. On tours of the muscadine vineyards and winery, guests will learn the history of the land, including the story of how the king of England once pardoned the grant for the Adams land. Visitors will also hear about the founding of the winery and the process of making wine. Guests should allow about 30 minutes for the tour. On June 16, the vineyard will also host "Ladies Spa Night" at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is $10. Individuals can also experience Adams Vineyards wines May 20-22 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

Cost: Wine tastings are $8 per person and tours of the vineyard are free with the purchase of a wine tasting. Tours are $5 per person.

Target audience: All ages are welcome, but those participating in tastings must be 21 and older.

Directions: Take I-85 N. toward Greensboro. Slight right at I-85 BUS. N./U.S.-29 N./U.S.-70 E. (signs for Greensboro). Continue to follow I-85 BUS N. Continue onto I-40 E. Take exit 298A for U.S.-401 S./U.S.-70 E./N.C. 50 S. toward Fayetteville/Garner. Turn right at N.C. 50 S./U.S.-401 S./U.S.-70 E./S. Saunders Street. Continue to follow N.C. 50 S/U.S.-401 S./U.S.-70 E. Continue straight onto U.S.-401 S./Fayetteville Road. Continue to follow U.S.-401 S. Turn left at N.C. 42 E/N.C. 55 E. Take the first left onto N.C. 42 E. Turn right at John Adams Road.
