The Lake Norman Golden Boys club hosted its second annual fishing clinic for children and their parents or grandparents May 14 at Boaters Warehouse on Brawley School Road.
The program was sponsored by Boaters Warehouse and the Harbour Fishing Club.
The clinic included a morning classroom session conducted by Jake Bussolini of Mooresville, who has published several books about freshwater fishing. The session taught the basics of fishing conservation, use of various baits, knot tying, fish handling and various fishing techniques.
Everyone then fished on the lake, with boats supplied and captained by fishing club members and Mac Byrum, a professional Lake Norman fishing guide who volunteered his services. Each child caught several fish during their two hours on the lake. Joe Marusak
