Activities: The largest water park in the Carolinas offers 3 million gallons of water and more than 36 rides and attractions. Emerald Pointe is home to a variety of slides and pools for individuals to explore. For those who enjoy wave pools, Thunder Bay, a 2 million gallon pool, will create 84-foot wide waves for guests to ride. For adventure seekers, guests can take a ride through Dr. Von Dark's Tunnel of Terror. With a 40-foot drop, the ride sends visitors through high-speed, 360-degree spins, all while in the dark. For those with children, Happy Harbor and Splash Island provide shallow pools and slides. The park offers lounge chairs and shaded areas. Places to eat include Captain Eli's for burgers and sandwiches, Luigi's Old World Pizza Villa for Italian cuisine, or The Dog House for a variety of hot dogs. On July 3, there will be a fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Cost: The cost of an All Day Splash for those taller than 48 inches is $33.99. Those under 48 inches cost $22.99. An All Day Splash pass for seniors costs $22.99, and those under the age of 2 are free. The park offers season passes and discount combo deals on tickets and meals. Directions from uptown: Take I-85 North to Business 85 towards Greensboro (exit 120A). Take exit 34 to Holden Road. At the end of the exit, make a left onto Holden Road. Entrance to the park is on the right.
