Blood donors

Scholarship opportunity: Students who give blood in one of Community Blood Center of the Carolinas' four area donor centers - Charlotte, Gastonia, Monroe and Concord (which opened July 5) - in July will have the opportunity to earn a $500 scholarship. Student names will be entered into a raffle once for every successful donation they bring to a CBCC donor center. Any recruited donors must come into a CBCC donor center in July in order for it to count toward their total. Students are encouraged to recruit friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers to enhance their chances of winning. Details: 704-972-4709; jteague@cbcc.us.
