JHE Production Group Inc. of Harrisburg was recently ranked eighth among the "Top 300 Small Business of the South" by Business Leader magazine.

The recent recipient of Business Leader's "Charlotte's Top Business" award, JHE competed against 300 small businesses from Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fla., Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte.

The companies were ranked on such factors as percentage of sales generated in the local market, revenue growth, businesses achievements and civic contributions.

On Aug. 9, state legislators and the governmental affairs committee of the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce will discuss legislation that affects businesses and that passed during the recent General Assembly session.

Mooresville Indoor Soccer Complex, 128 Speedway Lane, Mooresville, recently entered a partnership with Cornelius-based Champion Sports Performance to provide speed and agility training for athletes of all ages.

The first training session, for boys and girls 17 and younger, began last week.

Mooresville-based Langtree Real Estate Group LLC recently opened a Statesville brokerage office at 245 E. Front St. as a joint venture with DWV Realty LLC, Langtree principal Brad Howard announced.

Volkmar Dirksen, principal of DWV Realty, has 25 years in commercial development and real estate brokerage in south Florida. DWV Realty partner and broker-in-charge is Liz Ellis.

Iredell Health System recently received the American Heart Association's "Get with the Guidelines" Heart Failure Gold Quality Achievement Award.

Under the guidelines, heart-failure patients are started on aggressive risk-reduction therapies such as cholesterol-lowering drugs, beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, aspirin, diuretics and anticoagulants while in the hospital. The aim is to prevent recurrent hospitalizations and to prolong the lives of heart-failure patients.

Iredell Memorial Hospital was one of seven hospitals in the state to receive the award.

Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville recently added three members to its management team:

Ashlee Bennett, patient access manager. Bennett was a supervisor of patient access at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Matt Cline, environmental services director. Cline previously managed environmental services for Carolinas Medical Center.

Dennis Mondzak, assistant central billing office manager. Mondzak was a credit analyst who was promoted to contract manager at Community Health Systems in New Jersey.
