Traffic Safety Police Officer Justin Dagenhart has received the Traffic Enforcement and Investigative Certificate from the N.C. Justice Academy. This certificate program is designed to recognize law enforcement professionals who have taken special courses in such areas as traffic crash investigation; drug enforcement; and spotting intoxicated motorists.
The Statesville Fitness and Activity Center has been selected by the Partners for Parks organization as the recipient of the 2011 Best New Project Award. Partners for Parks is a nonprofit, nonpartisan group that seeks to promote parks, greenways, open space and recreation in neighborhoods.
