Super story: Concord native and author Michael Eury is featured on the cover of Hearing Loss Magazine's recent issue. Eury is executive director of Historic Cabarrus Association. In his article, "How My Hearing Loss Made Me a Superhero," Eury - a former editor and writer for DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics - describes his progressive hearing loss and how it contributed to his loss of his self-confidence and career.
