Halloween happenings

The following events are planned to celebrate fall and Halloween:

Candy Crawl: 3-5 p.m. Monday, Union Street, downtown Concord. Trick-or-treating at merchants and other free activities. Union Street will be closed 1-5 p.m. from the Concord library to Corban Avenue. 704-784-4208; info@concorddowntown.com.

Pumpkin Ball Fall Festival: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Providence Baptist Church, 5315 N.C. 49 South, Harrisburg. Free. Children can wear costumes or come as they are. Free hot dogs, drinks, games, trunk-or-treat, Thomas Big Train bouncer, other bouncers. 704-455-2813.

The Haunted Trail Ride: Through Monday, Latta Equestrian Center, 6201 Sample Road, Huntersville. Haunted hayride, straw maze, pony rides, cow train rides, marshmallow roasting. $6 per three activities. www.hauntedtraillkn.com.

Scarrigan Farms : Through Monday, Carrigan Farms, 1261 Oak Ridge Farm Highway at N.C. 150 and N.C. 152, Mooresville. $20 per person. Ticket sales are 6:30-10 each night. 704-664-1450; www.scarriganfarms.com.

Flashlight Mazes: Friday night, Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road, Huntersville. $15 for age 13 and older; $10 ages 5-12; free for age 4 and younger. Tickets are sold 6:30-8 p.m. each Friday. 704-875-3113.
