All artificial Christmas trees are half price at the ReStore operated by Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County.

Store hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.

The store has a large selection of artificial trees, according to a news release from Habitat Cabarrus. Most come pre-lit and range in size from 9 feet to tabletop size.

Stands for live Christmas trees also are half price.

The Old Courthouse Theatre will have auditions Monday and Tuesday for its February production of "To Kill a Mockingbird."

Registration for auditions is from 7 to 8 p.m. Auditions are at the theater, 49 Spring St. N.W., Concord.

Performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. Feb. 9-11, Feb. 17-18 and Feb. 24-25 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12, 19 and 26.

The drama is based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning 1960 book, dramatized by Christopher Sergel.

The E.H. Montgomery General Store in historic Gold Hill will host a charitable evening of bluegrass music from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday.

Admission will be a monetary donation at the door or a wrapped gift for families the historic site is sponsoring for Christmas.

Gifts should be appropriate for boys ages 2 months, 4 years and 7 years and girls ages 18 months and 2 years.

On all other Friday nights, everyone is invited to the store for bluegrass music. Admission is a donation. The house band plays 6-8 p.m., and an open jam starts at 8. All bluegrass musicians are welcome.

Empowered Personal Training Studio will host a benefit holiday boot camp 9-10::30 a.m. Saturday.

The class is free, but the studio asks that participants make a donation for a local family through the Cooperative Christian Ministry.

Participants will do a military-style program of group fitness training that incorporates bodyweight exercises, hand weights, calisthenics and cardiovascular drills.

Empowered, along with its business neighbors Tiki Tan and Rocky River Coffee, will collect presents and donations throughout December for a local mother and her three children, who recently lost their home in Harrisburg. The family includes a girl age 14 who wears size 8 to 10 pants and L to XL shirts; a boy age 13 with size 34 waist-30 length pants and XL shirts; and a girl age 3 who wears pants and shirts size 5-6.

Founded in 2008, Empowered Personal Training Studio offers nutritional coaching, corporate fitness programs and six-week boot camp programs as well as personal training. It is the first private studio in Harrisburg and offers one-on-one and small-group strength training.

Kids ages 10 to 18 are invited to audition Jan. 9-10 for the Old Courthouse Youth Theatre production of "Broadway Babies: A Musical Review."

Registration for auditions will be 7-8 p.m. each night at the theater, 49 Spring St. N.W., Concord. Those auditioning should prepare to a sing a verse and the chorus of a Broadway song. No recorded music allowed. An accompanist will be provided.

To help prepare for auditions, there is an audition workshop 9-11:30 a.m. Jan. 7. Workshop space is available for 25 people. The cost is $20 per student.
