IHOP is scheduled to open its third Lake Norman area restaurant on Monday, on N.C. 150 just west of Interstate 77 Mooresville Exit 36.
IHOP also has restaurants at 16815 Caldwell Creek Drive in Huntersville and at I-77 Exit 50 in Statesville.
Other nearby IHOPs are at 230 E. W.T. Harris Blvd. in Charlotte and 800 Cloverleaf Plaza in Kannapolis.
California-based International House of Pancakes LLC has opened at least 1,530 restaurants across North America, most of which are run by franchisees. The Mooresville location will be operated by longtime IHOP franchisee CFRA Inc. of Concord.
IHOPs are known for their signature pancakes, omelettes and other breakfast specialties and also serve lunch, dinner and snack items.
Mooresville hours will be 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 6 a.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
Kabuto adds to menu
HUNTERSVILLE Kabuto Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar recently rolled out its new "Asian Kitchen Menu" featuring signature dishes from across Asia.
The menu features made-to-order mix-and-match stir fry plates. Guests can customize their meals, selecting their choice of meats, sauces and vegetables.
Some of the new dishes include Indonesian Chicken Skewers, Korean Tacos, Bulgoki Beef, Khua Kai, Pad Thai, Vietnamese Shrimp Spring Rolls and Pineapple Fried Rice.
Kabuto also has an early bird menu 4:30-6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
