First murder of 2012: Concord police say it appears a man shot and killed his estranged wife, wounded another man, and then killed himself the evening of Jan. 1 at a house in the southwest side of the city. Isidra Ramos Sarabio, 30, and her estranged husband, Eladio Hernandez-Pelaez, 54, were killed. Fredy Guzman, 33, was wounded. Investigators say Hernandez-Pelaez arrived, uninvited, at the house on Broad Drive S.W. A Concord police officer on patrol heard the shots, responded and found Guzman walking in the street with a wound to his abdomen. The officer found two deceased people in the back yard of the residence. Guzman was taken to CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
