"In and Out," a multimedia art show, will be on display Tuesday through March 8 at the Cabarrus Arts Council Galleries, in the historic Cabarrus County courthouse, 65 Union St. S., Concord.

The show is based on opposites, including interiors and exteriors, inner thoughts and outward expressions, and the artists' choices of methods and media.

The Concord Friends of the Library will have their annual Winter Meeting and Volunteer Recognition from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in the upstairs auditorium at the Concord main branch of the Cabarrus County Public Library.

The meeting and program are free and open to the public.

The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is accepting new members for the spring season, which began Thursday. Rehearsals are 7-8:45 p.m. Thursdays in the family life center of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church, 2299 N. Main St., Kannapolis.

Musicians who play flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone horn, tuba and percussion are invited to join. Members must be able to read music and attend rehearsals.

Auditions will be 7-9 p.m. Feb. 5-6 for the Old Courthouse Theatre's production of "Titanic: The Musical." Those auditioning should come with a prepared song. Auditions also will include cold readings from scripts and some movement.
