CAROLINA FORCE, a new Arena Football League team, will play its home games in the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center, 4751 N.C. 49 N. League plays begins March 17.

COUCH TO 5K CHALLENGE: Concord Parks and Recreation and Reflex International are co-sponsoring this group training and exercise program. No running experience needed. AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY: The Cabarrus County Public Library will present "A Look at African American History in Cabarrus County," a lecture by the Rev. MUSICIANS WANTED: The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is accepting new members through Feb. 16.
