"IN THE JUNGLE": The Old Courthouse Theatre will give a free reader's theater performance of this play, written by Andy Rassler, theater teacher at Northwest Cabarrus High School. It will be at 4 p.m. March 18 in the main theater, 49 Spring St. N.W. It's produced and directed by Jonathan Ewart. The reading is part of the theater group's "Living Room Reading" series. ART EXHIBITION: March 8 is your last chance to see the art exhibition "In and Out," at the Galleries of the Cabarrus Arts Council. CHILDREN'S CONCERT: The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band will present a free children's concert at 10:30 a.m. March 10 at the Gem Theatre, 111 W. First St. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone is invited to wear a costume portraying characters featured in the songs: Choose a lion, elephant, swan, donkey, Sesame Street character, Disney character, Looney Tunes character, an Olympic athlete, a pirate, a Veggie Tales character, orchestra conductor, trapeze artist or others.
