Cold Stone Creamery is expected to open a new store at the Epicentre on July 17.
The new entertainment complex is at College, Trade and Fourth streets.
Half of the proceeds from opening day will go to support south Charlotte resident Anne Lynn, a lung cancer survivor who is raising money for the 24 Hours of Booty charity event, spokeswoman Jennifer Walker said. The event raises money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and other cancer awareness organizations.
During July, the store also will feature “Anne's Booty Creation,” a special ice cream flavor of named vanilla ice cream mixed with raspberries, graham cracker pie crust and whipped topping. All of the proceeds from the sale of that flavor will go to Lynn's team, Walker said.
