‘Sex and the City' stylist appearance

“Sex and the City's” Emmy award-winning wardrobe stylist Rebecca Weinberg is scheduled to appear at the SouthPark Dillard's on Saturday to offer fashion tips.

Weinberg's appearance is part of a fall fashion show to be hosted by the store and Condé Nast Media Group. The event will feature ways to mix, match and accessorize the latest fall styles.

Weinberg has styled such celebrities as Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Simpson. The fashion show is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Swedish home furnishings giant IKEA has begun hiring for its first Carolinas store, which is under construction on 25 acres in University City.

The store, scheduled to open in spring 2009, is seeking to fill 400 positions in a variety of areas. About 75 of the positions will go in IKEA's restaurant, food market, bistro and employee cafeteria. Details: www.IKEA-USA.com.

Men's formalwear store MW Tux recently opened at Northlake Mall.

Other stores to come include Foot Locker, which opens in November, and Subway, scheduled to open in the food court in 2009, general manager Phil Morosco said.
