Staging begins at 6:30 a.m. Saturday for the annual Veterans Day Parade. Streets will be blocked near 10th and North Tryon streets.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and proceed on Tryon to Third Street, finishing at Marshall Park.
Bobcats traffic: The Bobcats have three home games this week at the arena on Trade Street. The first is at 1 p.m. today against Toronto's Raptors.
The team returns Tuesday at 7 p.m. to meet the Denver Nuggets, then finishes the week by hosting the Utah Jazz at 7 p.m. Friday.

Streets reopen: Elsewhere uptown, crews plan to remove crane towers in two locations this weekend, and streets near the sites were scheduled to close during the process.
At the Ritz Carlton site, East Trade Street between College and Brevard streets is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
South Church Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and First Street should reopen by 6 a.m. Monday. Martin Luther King Boulevard is an alternative route.
Road closing: In south Charlotte, a section of Carmel Park Drive is scheduled to close Nov. 11 through Dec. 11 while crews work on storm drains. Traffic can detour around the 5000 through 5200 blocks using Oglukian Drive and Carmel Park Lane.
