Kindergarten registration: All Iredell-Statesville Schools elementary schools have dates scheduled for kindergarten registration for the 2015-2016 school year. Coddle Creek Elementary – 9 a.m. and noon March 27.

Lake Norman Elementary – 9 a.m. April 24.

Troutman Elementary – 2:45-6 p.m. April 16.

Lakeshore Middle

Spirit wear: Lakeshore Middle is introducing three new spirit wear items: two new sweatshirts and sweatpants. Styles and sizes can be viewed and items can be ordered at http://iss.schoolwires.com/lakeshoremiddle, and order forms are also available in the school office.

Orders can be submitted through the end of the school year. Students may wear spirit wear items every Friday in place of the uniform polo shirt. Parents who wish to help with spirit wear can contact the PTO at isslmspto@gmail.com.

Spirit Night: 5-8 p.m. March 30, Chick-fil-A, 457 River Highway, Mooresville. Ten percent of the evening’s sales, including drive-through, will benefit the PTO.

Mount Mourne IB Middle

Spirit Night: 5-8 p.m. March 19, Moe’s Southwest Grill, 465 River Highway, Mooresville, behind Verizon and in front of the Hobby Lobby. Moe’s will donate 20 percent of total purchases to the Mount Mourne PTSO for all diners who present the event flier when ordering. The flier is required for the school to receive a donation. Lake Norman High

Town Hall Meeting: The Town Hall Meeting at 6 p.m. March 24 in the auditorium at Lake Norman High School will focus on adolescent brain and body development. Geoff Sidoli, clinical director at Barium Springs Treatment Center, will present “Surviving Today’s Tough Teen Issues: Developmental Norm and/or Deviant Storm.” Sidoli will discuss mental health issues, addiction awareness and education, and the dangers of prescription and illegal medication. The event is free and open to the public.

South Iredell High

Vikings Youth Basketball Camp: The 2015 South Iredell Vikings Youth Basketball Camp will be offered 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 17-19 in the main gymnasium at South Iredell High. Registration starts at 8 a.m. The camp is open to girls in kindergarten through eighth grade and boys in kindergarten through ninth grade. Registration is $40 per camper or $35 per camper for families enrolling two or more children. Details: http://iss.schoolwires.com/Domain/3079.

STEM scholarship program: Piedmont Natural Gas and the Charlotte Knights will award $1,000 scholarships to three qualifying Charlotte-area high school seniors through the Charlotte Knights STEM Scholarship Program. High school seniors enrolled in the following counties are eligible to apply for the scholarship: Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan and Union counties in North Carolina; and Chester, Lancaster and York counties in South Carolina. To apply, students must be planning to attend college to pursue studies in the STEM disciplines of science, technology, engineering and math. Completed applications must be submitted by May 1 via email to scholarships@charlotteknights.com or by mail to: Charlotte Knights, Annual Scholarship, 324 S. Mint St., Charlotte, NC 28202. The scholarships will be presented during an on-field ceremony at BB&T Ballpark on July 23.
