Ashley D. Stremme of Mooresville is the new Mrs. North Carolina United States 2016.
She will go on to represent the state this summer in Las Vegas, Nev. in the national Mrs. United States Pageant Inc.
Stremme, 31, is a television and radio show host at Motor Racing Network along with co-owning Lethal Chassis. She earned the crown at a pageant held May29 in Charlotte.
Stremme decided to compete for the opportunity to promote Victory Junction, a nonprofit organization that has created a medically safe environment while providing fun and exciting activities for kids who have serious medical conditions. The camp provides an outlet for children to enjoy themselves and is free of charge for those families attending.
Advocating for the rights of disabled children has been a life-long passion for Stremme after her sister was born with severe medical complications that eventually led to her sister using a wheelchair. Stremme often wished that her sister could enjoy the same childhood experiences as she did.
Victory Junction allows this opportunity for children and is a huge reason why Stremme fell in love with the organization.
As Stremme is preparing to compete in the national pageant, she continues to promote her platform and hopes to bring awareness to it on the state and national levels.
