G.E. Massey Elementary, 130 Newbold St., Lincolnton: 3-6 p.m.
St. James Elementary, 1774 St. James Church Road, Denver: 4-6 p.m.
Catawba and Lincoln County Sheriff's Road Patrol and Lake Patrol and N.C. Wildlife Resources officers combined their efforts on July 26, while the BAT mobile visited Lincoln County.
The joint operation led to a number of citations and warnings being issued, including eight boating while impaired and three driving while impaired charges being filed. Lake patrol officers issued 22 nighttime violations, such as improper navigation lights, and gave 76 verbal warnings.
The road patrols issued 33 citations during traffic checkpoints on St. James Church Road, Water Oaks Drive and old Plank Road. The checkpoints resulted in three driving while impaired charges and several nonmoving violations.
A number of written warnings were issued for minor infractions.
