The Mooresville Public Library recently announced the winners of the “Catch the Reading Bug” reading contest. The winner for the 0- to 6-year-olds was Sarah Jarding, and the second-prize winner was Makayla McMinn. The winner for the 7- to 12-year-olds was Kirsten Tevepaugh and the second-prize winners were Giana Dana and Louisa Sholar.
If you have a completed reading log, you can pick up prizes at the Youth Services Reference Desk anytime during August.
Mooresville Jazzercise will host a food drive for the Second Harvest Food Bank through Aug. 25 at the fitness center, 655 Brawley School Road, Suite 200 in Brawley Commons Shopping Center.
Non-perishable food donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to noon and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. weekdays. Food donations can also be left in a brown paper bag in front of the center during other hours.
