Autobell Car Wash recently awarded its 2008 academic scholarships to the following employees:
Michael Johnson of Huntersville, attends Xavier University; Cody Lambert of Cornelius, attends UNC Wilmington; Ryan Walker of Cornelius, will attend Appalachian State University. All work at the Autobell in Huntersville.
The Autobell Scholarship is an annual program open to current Autobell employees of at least one year. Employees who are graduating high school seniors or have received a high school diploma within the past three years can apply.

Annual Robert J. Alander scholarships were handed out to high school graduates Jillian Hunt, Jacquelynne Greco, Callie Robertson and Collin Brantmeyer, who plan to pursue an education in marketing.
Hunt, a North Mecklenburg graduate, plans to attend the University of Rhode Island. Greco of North Meck plans to attend Appalachian State. Robertson of North Meck plans to attend Tennessee. Brantmeyer of Butler plans to attend Wisconsin.
