James Kay, M.D. has joined Mid Carolina Cardiology Huntersville, 10030 Gilead Road.

Kay specializes in both invasive and consultative cardiology and has special expertise in CT angiography, nuclear medicine and echocardiography.

Kay is a Duke University graduate and earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va., where he was chief resident, and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Kay is board-certified in internal medicine.

Tickets are on sale for “Pearls On The Porch”, a gala to benefit the Lake Norman Chapter of Dress For Success.

The charge: $50 per person.

The event, on Sept. 26 at the Ranson House, will feature a Jazz Trio, chocolate fountain, wine, hors d'oeuvres , pearl cupcakes, and a silent auction.

All proceeds to benefit the local chapter of nonprofit Dress For Success.

The mission of Dress For Success is to promote the economic independence for disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a support network and career development tools to help women thrive.
