Exit 50 The Statesville City Council has approved an additional $15,000 to cover legal, design and survey fees to develop the Lookout Shoals Water Contingency Plan.

West Shore The Lake Norman Sail and Power Squadron has a safe boating class 8 a.m. Sept. 6 at Denver United Methodist Church off N.C. 16. Cost, $35, includes lunch.
