Foundation For The Carolinas is now accepting grant applications on behalf of the George D. Patterson Family Fund.
Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations throughout Mecklenburg and contiguous counties that focus on animal issues, specifically those agencies offering spay/neuter programs, rural animal care, animal adoption awareness campaigns and small capital projects that enhance children's exposure to animal education.

Urologist Dr. Alex Horchak has recently joined Drs. Johnson, Coryell and Schlesinger in the Department of Urology of Piedmont HealthCare.
Horchak earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed his urology residency at Ohio State University in Columbus.
