Members of Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics' Carolina Diving Academy recently competed in two national diving competitions, the 2008 Amateur Athletic Union national diving championships in Coral Springs, Fla.; and the 2008 USA Diving Speedo junior national championships in The Woodlands, Texas.

Blair “Whitney” Timberlake, 12, of Huntersville, placed fourth on the 1-meter board and sixth on the 3-meter board at the AAU nationals. She placed 19th on the 3-meter and 16th in the platform event at the U.S. junior nationals.

The NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass, and Kick program will be at 2 p.m. today at the Huntersville Athletic Park, 20 Verhoff Drive. Free.

The program allows boys and girls ages 8-15 to compete separately in punting, passing and kicking skills.
