Exit 23 The town of Huntersville has raised its minimum bulk item collection fee to $40, up from $15.

Exit 25 The Birkdale Village concert series continues Friday and Saturday night. Soul Watt will perform Friday and Graceful Rhythms will perform Saturday. Shows start at 7.

Exit 28 Recycling receptacles for plastic bottles, aluminum cans and newspapers are available at Bailey Road, Torrence Chapel, Smithville and Legion parks in Cornelius.

Exit 33 Mooresville commissioners will consider approving an agreement at 6 p.m. Tuesday requiring developers of the Morrison Plantation community to improve roads, curbs, sidewalks and storm drains by year's end.

West Shore The East Lincoln Betterment Association will have a candidates' forum at 7 p.m. Sept. 25 at Unity Presbyterian Church, 8210 Unity Church Road in Denver.
