More than 800 runners in 12 age groups competed in the third annual Run for Green last month. Overall winners were:

The Run for Green is organized by and benefits the Davidson Lands Conservancy (www.davidsonlands.org), whose mission is to conserve open space and natural lands.
Aimee Symington will offer children's etiquette workshops at Davidson Public Library in November. Workshops will be 2-5 p.m. Nov. 1 for children 5-9 and 2-5:30 p.m. Nov. 8 for children ages 10 to 13. Cost is $65.
