Lake Norman Baptist Church

Special music, guest speaker: On July 4 at all worship services, Lake Norman Baptist Church will present "Homeland", a service of special music, followed by guest speaker Kelly Kemp who tells of the journey of the "Gold Star" children - the children of the fallen heroes of the Viet Nam conflict.

Urban Ministry Center

Art Exhibit: "Resilience" is an exhibit of artists' work from ArtWorks945, a program of the Urban Ministry Center, comprised of Charlotte artists who struggle with homelessness and urban poverty. The exhibit will be open through July 9 at the Lake Norman Art League Gallery, 442 S. Main St., Davidson. The opening reception will feature live music and poetry, and ArtWorks945 artists available to discuss their work. 6-9 p.m. June 25.

New Community of Faith

Now forming: Two upcoming small group opportunities - a five-week study based on Brian McLaren's book, "A Generous Orthodoxy." Meetings will be offered on Sundays and Mondays.
